To design effective classes that solve performance issues, train new skills, save you time, save you money, make you money, and attain other identifiable goals — in other words, instruction with impact — we follow this tried-and-true instructional design process:
- Analyze your situation to clearly identify the performance issues and training needs, as well as the related tasks and knowledge to train.
- Design the class: its learning objectives and related assessments, followed by a class outline that identifies the concepts and tasks to teach.
- Develop the class: its training methods, media, exercises, activities, student and instructor guides, and visuals to train the required knowledge and skills.
- Implement the class by piloting to a small, representative group.
- Evaluate the training, its effectiveness, and how well it rectifies performance issues.
A class, expertly designed using this ADDIE process, meets your training goals. |
